About Us
Our Mission
Assisting the elderly in ways that will enable them to continue living independently in their own home with dignity, peace, and joy, while giving their family members confidence that their loved ones are safe. Being your Family Helper!
Our Services
Our team would like to support you in the following ways:
- We look to understand the living conditions of the home and assess the need for repairs.
- We perform basic handyman chores.
- We help you to use and understand technology (phone,tv, computer, auto).
- We provide companionship and help with errands.
- We coordinate referrals to other professionals when needed (Plumbers, electricians, etc.).
- And we keep an eye out for other potential issues, while being available to family members should concerns arise.
Our Team
AYIL has been established by Bill & Karen Schmidt, with the assistance of board members Paul Belser and Bob Wilkoff. Over time we hope to attract others to help us help you.
Our Process
- Following introductions and your home assessment, we discuss the type of services we might provide.
- We are available to provide support once a week, once a month, or on an as needed basis.
- We look for our client friends to create a running To-Do list that we can discuss on a regular basis.
- Our services are at no cost to the client, although we appreciate cost reimbursements and any type of donations.
