Our Team

Bill Schmidt is a retired business executive living in Upper Dublin, PA.  Bill graduated with an accounting degree from SUNY Oswego earning his CPA license in 1986.  He worked four years for the accounting firm of Ernst & Whinney before becoming CFO of The Stewart Smith Insurance group.  Bill transferred to the underwriting side of insurance spending 25 years as an insurance company executive and leader.  Bill & Karen (AYIL Secretary) married out of college and raised three independent and successful daughters, and are currently blessed with 5 grandchildren.  Bill's hope for AYIL is to give back to his community in a welcoming and rewarding way.

Karen is a retired Registered Nurse living in Upper Dublin, PA.  Karen graduated with a marketing degree from SUNY Oswego, and went on to obtain her nursing degree from SUNY Fulton-Montgomery.  Karen worked at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in Bronxville, NY before retiring to raise her three amazing daughters.  Karen is very involved in community activities, currently serving as secretary of the Women's Inter-Club Tennis Association of Philadelphia.  She is an avid bridge player, tennis and platform tennis player, and leads the Monday movie night with our AYIL friends.  

Paul Belser, M.D., a pathologist/cytopathologist, from Lancaster, PA, has lived in the Philadelphia suburbs since graduating from the M.S. Hershey Medical Center in 1984.  He has served as Medical Director and Chief of the Department of Pathology at

Montgomery Hospital in Norristown and subsequently at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, now Jefferson Einstein Montgomery, in East Norriton, PA since 1995. He lives in Blue Bell, PA with his wife, Nancy, a pediatrian, where they raised two children, both pediatricians now in practice in the region. Paul has been an elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Ambler since 1994.

Dr. Robert Wilkoff is a dentist, who graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry (DDS) in 1982. Bob helped raise a family of two boys in Elkins Park, PA with his wife, Janis, who is also a licensed dental hygienist (RDH). He has owned and worked in his private dental practices in the Philadelphia area for over 40 years. Dr. Wilkoff is currently working as a faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania as a Clinical Associate at the Penn Dental Medicine School of Dentistry.
